Dark detector (DSG 40/41)
The 10 x 80 anti-aircraft telescope could also be used as a 'dark search device'. For this purpose, the values of the ring funnel listening device were transmitted via cable connection to the observer with the anti-aircraft telescope mounted on the anti-aircraft searchlight and only displayed when the dark search device was aligned with the anti-aircraft searchlight and the RRH. The DSG. then took over further target guidance. The anti-aircraft searchlight leader meanwhile observed with another 10 x 80 anti-aircraft telescope from a position 100 to 200 m away and was connected to the searchlight position by telephone. At the RRH, a listener also observed with a 7 x 50 binocular."
